Blackwater FC is a brand new football club based in Maldon , Essex .​
The team will be playing on Sunday mornings in the Pope and Smith Chelmsford Sunday League.  Our club has solid foundations and a fantastic chairman in Marcus Staines from DS Engineering who is our main sponsor.

 

Blackwater Football Club was formed when The Carpenters Arms , a local pub team folded.  A new club was needed to serve the area but it was a more ambitious and forward-looking club that was required , not one that was part of the "Sunday morning pub team culture".
New players with excellent skills and ability have already been recruited but the club continues looking to add more players of quality to its squad.
 
The manager , Mick Lappage , played youth team football with Leeds United before having spells with Doncaster Rovers and York City . He thrives on the game and is an excellent man-manager , motivator and tactician.
 
Mick is assisted by new assistant boss, Ollie Webster who shares the same footballing philosophy and style of play that Mick and Ian share.
 
Ian Harden , the club's very experienced secretary and treasurer , ensures the club is professionally and efficiently run .
He also serves on the management of the Pope and Smith Sunday League and current league treasurer and his knowledge of FA and local league regulations and administration is very comprehensive.

As well as looking for more quality players , Blackwater FC is actively seeking sponsors who would be keen to help the club whilst also having the opportunity to create increased customer awareness for their businesses and companies through exposure on team shirts and club website and stationery .
