An excellent start for new signing, Connor Seabright, as he bagged himself 4 goals in his first start.  Alex Fielding scored the 5th.  The match was a one sided affair and could and should have ended with a higher margin, but Mick Lappage the Blackwater manager, was thrilled with the result.

A very poor performance for a majority of the game left us with the first league defeat of the season.  Wilvale are a good footballing side and showed us how to pass and move at times.  A first half that ended 1-0 to Wilvale thanks to an own goal, made Mick give the team a much needed kick up the backside.  We came out guns blazing and dominated for 15 mins with Connor Seabright equalising with a deft finish.  We thought we'd won and took our foot off the gas and gave away 2 sloppy goals from set pieces and a good attacking goal ended our day with dissapointment.

a cracking game from start to finish in which we dominated from start to finish and scored an impressive haul of 9 goals.  we could and should have scored a lot more.  Connor Seabright scored 4 and Alex Fielding and Paul Wade helped themselves to a brace each.  Tom Pitt completed the rout.   Next week see's our first round division 4 cup match away to Marconi Leisure Reserves.

Sundat the 27th October 2013: Romford Flyers v Blackwater FC - County Cup round 2

A very close game in which we were down 1-0 until the 80th minute when Alex Fielding scored a thunderbolt to equalise and then went on to score the winner to bring the spoils home to plantation hall.  A nice away trip for the water boys and we look forward to round 3.

Sunday the 3rd November 2013: Blackwater FC v Margeretting Sports and Social Club Res - Division for league match

Result: Blackwater(3) v Margeretting (0)

A blustery day saw the conditions for football being far from ideal, but a dominant performance saw us win 3 nil on the day.  Numerous other chances were missed, bar hit twice and corners overhit.  The wind did not help either team, but our total football on the deck saw us out play our opposition.  Goals from Ben Gribble, Luke Hylands and Connor Seabright completed the scoring.

A nice win against the 2nd best team in the league, tulip springfield.  A number of players were injured and unavailable for this match but we saw a dominant performance result in a 3-1 away win.  Goals from Connor Seabright, Will Mant and a first for Nicholas Lappage saw the points return to the plantation hall.

Sunday the 24th  November: Blackwater FC v West Horndon United - County Cup round 3

Venue: Plantation Hall, Heybridge, Essex

Kick Off: 10.30am

Result: Blackwater(7) v West Horndon United (0)

A convincing win by Blackwater in the 3rd round of the County Cup.  The first goal was scored after 1 minute by Dave Marsh who converted from 5 yards into the bottom right corner.  A dominant display followed although we didn't really get out of 2nd gear for most of the game, we had to be vigilante and defend well from the quality set plays that West Horndon had against us.  Further goals in the first half from Sam Page - a 20 yard top corner volley, Andy Potts and Alex Fielding, excellent finish from a quality Blackwater move,  sent us in at half time with a 4 goal advantage.   The second half came and Mick made 4 changes at half time and we continued to move the ball well.  Andy was on the score sheet again after a good run and shot resulted in a deflection into the bottom left of the keepers goal and a excellent 15 yard chip over the keeper from an acute angle from Connor Seabright rounded a great 10 mins of play from the water boys.  The skipper for the day, Scott Harber, scored a belter from outside of the box low to the keepers right to seal the 7th goal.

A very nice victory which see's us safely into round four of the competition.

Sunday the 1st of December: Mannox MR v Blackwater FC - Gillott Trophy second round

Venue: Foxes club ground, Writtle, essex.

Kick Off: 10.30am

Result: Mannox MR(0) v Blackwater FC(3)

An entertaining game and one which we dominated, saw us comfortably into round 3 of the cup thanks to a 3 nil win away to Mannox.  2 goals from leading goalscorer Connor Seabright and 1 from Alex Fielding rounded off a comfortable win for Blackwater.  Next week sees us back on league duties with a tough away fixture to mid table Marconi Leisure Res, who defeated us on penalties in the league cup.  Hopefully we'll bring 3 points back home next week.

Sunday the 8th December: Marconi Leisure Res v Blackwater FC

Venue: Melbourne Park, Chelmsford, Essex

Kick Off: 10.30am

Result: Marconi Leisure Res(0) v Blackwater FC(9)

A totally dominant performance from start to finish saw us 4 nil up in twenty minutes!  We were dominant in all areas of the field and our keeper was rarely tested.  5 goals from leading scorer Connor Seabright, 2 from Will Mant and 1 from Jake Harvey and an OG completed the rout.  We have been playing some lovely football recently, and the number of goals shows just how well we are playing.  Mick Lappage, said it was a joy to watch and it's the best he's seen us play.

Sunday the 15th December: Blackwater FC v Queens Park(Hannakins)

Venue: Plantation Hall, Colchester Road, Heybridge, Essex

Kick Off: 10.30 am

Result: Blackwater FC(0) v Queens Park(Hannakins) (0) - Home win

This goal is marked as a nil nil draw as Queens Park were unable to provide a team for us to play.  The lad's were dissapointed that we didn't get to play, but the 3 points that we win be default will go along way to helping us achieve our main goal of promotion this year.

Venue: Danbury Sports Centre, Maldon Road, Danbury

Kick Off:10.30am

Result: Daen Ingas Res(4) v Blackwater FC(5)

The final update of 2013 and see's us end the year with a very unconvincing 5-4 win away to Daen Ingas Res.  The pitch and the ref played it's part but we were poor and gave away 4 goals through bad defending and set pieces.  However, good goals by Connor and Will (2 a piece) and Jake harvey saw us hold out for the win with a late on slaught from Daen Ingas who played well in the 2nd half and were unlucky not to win but for a great save from Gary Pipe.

Result: Blackwater FC(11) v Costa Del Rainham(0)

The first game of the new year was the last 16 of the County Cup and we welcomed Costa Del Rainham to the Plantation Hall.  And what a feast it was for the blackwater fans.  we ended up with a monsterous 11-0 win!!

In a totally dominant performance, in which Costa had 2 players sent of from the field of play, we out played and out scored our visitors.  We lead 3 nil before the first of their players saw red and 7-0 when the next was excluded.  4 goals from Alex Fielding, 2 each from Top scorer Connor Seabright and Andy Potts, 1 from Luke Hylands to end his scoring drout and 1 each from Sam Page and Jake Harvey who is on a good run at scoring from midfield at the moment, made for pleasant viewing last week.  Well done lad's and hopefully we can get back to league duties next week at home to Hatfield Swann Inn Res and get 3 valuable points.

Venue: Plantation Hall, Colchester Road, Heybridge

Kick off: 10.30 am

Result: Blackwater FC(5) v Hatfield Swann Inn Res(0)

On a wet and sodden day, a good game of football ensued and both teams went at it from the start.  Blackwater got off to a flyer, with Connor Seabright netting after 3 mins after a splendid 'bergkamp' esc flick around the defender from a through ball and finishing with aplomb in the bottom left corner.  To Hatfields credit, they played very well and dominated much of the posession in the first half with Blackwater flustered and playing long balls and panic clearances that were giving possession away to the opposition time and again.  New goalkepper signing Andy made 3 excellent save in the first half to see that we ended the half 1-0 to the good.  Some words from Mick at half time saw us up our game in the second.  Hatfield kept coming at us but we were more up for the challenge and the 2nd goal from Paul Wade settled the nerves for BFC and Hatfield passing went arrey and we started to play passing football.  A mictake from the hatfield defender, a shocking passback, allowed Connor to nip in and through on goal and bury his second even if it was a mis kick and make it 3 nil.  Good work by Paul Wade in the centre of midfield saw him make a pin point pass from inside our own half that split the Hatfield defense in to pieces, saw Connor run through and slot home for his hattrick.  Another counter attack and Andy Potts fired home from 20 yards into the bottom left corner to round off a good win in rainy and muddy conditions.

Sunday the 2nd February 2014: Blackwater FC v Willvale Rangers

Venue: Plantation Hall, Colchester Road, Heybridge

Kick Off: 10.30am

Result: Blackwater FC(1) v Willvale Rangers(3)

A poor first half which resulted in a 2 nil lead for Willvale who had a lot of the ball in the first half.  The first goal was from a corner and poor defending allowed Willvale to nod in for number one and a clearnace from another set piece dropped to the feet of another willvale player who riffled in from 10 yards.  Blackwater played some good football in patches but the first half was rightly Willvales.
We made a change at half time and started playing some good pressing football and dominated possesion for a majority of the 2nd half.  poor defending cost us a 3rd goal and willvale also got a penalty.  This was missed by their player and we played a bit better.  However, we were reduced to ten men when Andy Potts received 2 yellow cards in quick succession which both were doubtful decisions.  We played well and were awarded a free kick from outside the box which was converted by Connor Seabright.  Further chances were created by both teams but the match finished with Blackwater on top.  A dissapointing result for Blackwater which had we converted our numerous chances, probably would have seen the 3 points stay at Plantation hall.

Sunday the 7th February 2014: Mannox MR v Blackwater FC

Venue: Writtle College Sports Ground, Fox Burrows Lane, Writtle CM1 3RR

Kick Off: 10.30am

Sunday the 16th February 2014: AFC Colchester v Blackwater FC - County Cup quarter final

Venue: Shrub end sports ground, Colchester

Kick Off: 10.30am

Result: AFC Colchester(5) v Blackwater FC(1)

A dissapointing end to a great county cup run at our first particiaption.  We went one up through Will Mant but a dodgy penalty award and a lucky goal gave them a 2-1 lead during the first half.  We had limited players available and a number of our players just didn't turn up with the right attitude and we lost to the better team in the end.

Sunday the 23rd February 2014: Blackwater FC v Compasses

Venue: Plantation Hall, Heybridge

Kick Off: 10.30am

Result: Blackwater FC(1) v Compasses(2)

Another dissapointing result in the period of poor form by Blackwater.  A very windy day and a changed formation added to our defeat.  However, we were not overrun and they are a very good side.  An even first half ended with a scrappy goal for Compasses following some poor defending but we picked ourselves up in the first half.  With the wind behind us, we attacked with more vigar.  Thomas Pitt, from 30 yards out on the left side, kicked the ball towards goal and a misjudged keeper saw the ball float over him and into the net.  This made us pick up our performance and we looked likely going forward with Andy Potts hitting the post after a well worked move.  With 2 minutes left, compasses went down the left and managed to get a lovely cross in and the number 7 rose superbly to nod in the winner.  This leaves us 9 points off 2nd with a game in hand.  Hopefully we can hit form quickly and start to win games again and challenge 2nd place for promotion.

well, we put the last few weeks behind us and we got back to winning ways today. a comfortable 9-0 win over margaretting sports and social club reserves. We played with composure and vigure and could and should have scored more. A rather lacklustre performance saw us win 3 nil.  Andy Nicholls pulled off 3 fantastic saves to keep the clean sheet and goals from Will Mant, Alex Fielding and Connor Seabright made sure we got 3 vital points.

Sunday the 16th March 2014: Blackwater FC v Mannex MR - League double header

Venue: Plantation Hall, Heybridge

Kick off: 10.30 am

Result: Blackwater FC(1) v Mannox MR(1)

Result: Mannox MR(0) v Blackwater FC(5)

The first double header of the season see's us welcome Mannox MR to plantation hall.  The first game ended 1-1 with us playing very badly, Will Mant banging in the goal for Blackwater from outside the box in one of the best moves of the game.  We failed to really get a grip for the rest of the match and Mannox had a goal ruled out for offside which could have cost us dear.

The second game saw a change in formation to our preferred 4-4-2 and we started playing some football.  We cruised to a 3 nil half time lead from Goals by Will Mant, Andy Potts and Connor seabright.  Further domination insued in the 2nd and Will Mant added 2 more to complete his hattrick and our good 5-0 win.

A difficult morning that saw 2 different performances and a draw and a 3-1 win in the final double header of the season.  All four goals in both games scoreded by Connor Seabright to bring his seasons tally up to 36 in all competitions.  Next week see's a very tough away trip to Queens Park Hannakins.

Sunday the 4th May 2014: Blackwater Fc v Tulip Springfield

Venue: Plantation Hall, Heybridge

Kick off: 10.30am

Result: Blackwater FC(2) v Tulip Springfield(5)

A very good and sometimes scrappy game, saw us lose our final game of the season against high flying Tulip who are hitting form at the right time.  We beat them 3-1 earlier in the season but they were winners today.  2-1 at half time after Blackwater scoring in the first 5 mins through a good team move converted by Andy Potts at the near post.  Tulip scored ten minutes later with a screamer of a free kick from 20 yards that gave Dave Ardley no chance.  They scored again before half time when Scott slipped in the box when about to clear the danger and there player shot against Ben Gribble and deflected into the net.

we came out fighting and playing better in the second and with 20 minutes on the clock, we played a lovely flowing football move which saw Chris Sweeney send a delicious cross into the box which was converted by Andy Potts for hi 2nd of the game.

We played with more endevour after and knowing we needed the win to guarantee 3rd, sent more and more forward but got caught by some good counter attacking football which saw 3 goals scored in the last ten.  a dissapointing end to the season but looking forward to next year.
